What is a Certified Contemporary Clay Instructor?
The Contemporary Clay Instructor program comprises 2 levels of certification. A qualified Certified Contemporary Clay Instructor will have participated in and satisfactorily completed a comprehensive program of Contemporary Clay classes and projects with one of our Senior Training Instructors - Lex Sorrentiono, Lara Le Reveur, Pam Annesley, Hector Vera, Rachel Azulie, Nancy Friend, and Melanie Dilday (Senior Instructor - Visiting Artist).
After completion of the Level One Certification projects, a Student Instructor will be required to complete 3 free choice examination projects (one from each medium) to ensure that techniques learned during the first part of the program have been mastered. After the successful completion of Certification One, CCIP Artisans can move on to the more challenging techniques and projects in the Level Two Certification. After completion of the Level Two Certification projects, CCIP Artisans will complete 3 free choice projects (one from each medium) and one in a Tutorial/Project Format. This will ensure that techniques taught during the second part of the program, have been mastered. Full CCIP Certification will be issued by Metal Clay Australasia Pty Ltd only when all of the certification criteria have been successfully achieved and approved by one of our Senior Training Instructors.
A Contemporary Clay Instructor is expected to provide Contemporary Clay Instructor Adults and/or Children's classes at a level and standard determined by Metal Clay Australasia Pty Ltd and our Senior Training Instructors, Course Designers and Coordinators, -Lex Sorrentiono, Lara Le Reveur, Pam Annesley, Hector Vera, Rachel Azulie, Nancy Friend, and Melanie Dilday (Senior Instructor - Visiting Artist).
Contemporary Clay Instructors will be encouraged to attend ongoing Train-the-Instructor classes if and when arranged and organises by Metal Clay Australasia Pty Ltd and our Senior Training Instructors. In this way we can ensure that Contemporary Clay Instructors will be up-to-date with the latest products, ideas and techniques.
Metal Clay will Continuously monitor the Qualityf of Contemporary Clay Instructor Courses to ensure that the best possible quality instruction and in turn, the best quality classes are offered in the program.

Why Certified Instructors?
The interest and excitement over the "modern" clays - Silver Metal Clay, Polymer Clay and Air Dry Clay and the demand for adult and children's craft and clay classes is growing rapidly. For this reason we are looking to train Contemporary Clay Instructors in centres around Australia. Contemporary Clay Instructors will be able to confidently and competently provide classes of a high standard and quality that we have determined.

Metal Clay Australasia Pty Ltd is looking for happy, energetic, enthusiastic, motivated and creative people who are interested in becoming Contemporary Clay Instructors in their own region. You will be fully independent (no franchise) but will still receive the support of Metal Clay Australasia Pty Ltd who are the Appointed Importers and Distributors of Makin's Clay Products.
