Learn how to create fantastic, pure, polished silver Fingerprint & Keepsake Jewellery made from your child or loved one's impressions.
It’s easy once you learn the techniques and processes. Be it tiny fingerprints, your child’s drawings, or a pet's paw print. Click here to view examples.
In this private day class, you will make a heart Pendant with Fingerprint or Footprint (I have fingerprint & footprint samples to use in class) with a child’s stamped name. Plus you will make a precious metal clay T-shirt pendant with a Child’s artwork (no need to bring any, unless you would like to, as I have a few samples that can be used).
You will prepare artwork in Photoshop for clean, crisp lines for turning a child’s drawing into jewellery. Then you will make a photopolymer plate that is exposed and curing by UV light. You will also be learning how to turn a positive image into a negative image using the Imagepac software.
The photopolymer plate is great for making multiple impressions of the same child’s artwork, too... fantastic gift for family members. You will have hands on experience with the equipment used for this process.
I will explain how to take a child’s hand & foot prints using an inkless system that is safe and non-toxic. And you will take home the materials needed to do this from anywhere in the world.
Your photopolymer plate may contain a handprint, fingerprint, footprint and child's artwork. This photopolymer plate can also be used in ink stamping... great tool for scrapbookers by the way.
I will teach you how to apply a Patina to your heart pendant to enhance the fingerprint texture and then how to polish your t-shirt pendant to a mirror shine.
And there's more... you will learn the metal clay basics, torch firing, applying patina and how to get that fine polished finish, too!
